Last Week

Just a few photos of what I got done last week.  Nothing big, but at least I felt productive.
 

I bought and re-potted some flowers for the front porch

re-purposed a gift bag for a friend's birthday gift

...and slip-covered our bar stools.  The 1980's upholstery doesn't match anything in our house and the stains on the seats have been bugging me for a long time.  I kept thinking I would get them reupholstered, but slip covers were so much easier!

Be My Valentine

Thank you to Catherine (aka Birthday Girl) for the lovely time we had celebrating at a very girly tea and cupcake party at the end of January.  All the valentines in the first three photos are from the goody bag she sent home with me.  I love the festive heart wreath; and the banner (shown front & back) I made using the cards, bits and pieces she supplied. That got me motivated to do a bit of valentine decorating in our entryway.  

You have to have candy hearts!

I made this place mat a few years ago; an experiment in creating a chenille effect.
